Our Story
Bill and Natalie Goodpaster have been in the painting business for more than twenty years. After moving to Chattanooga in 2002 with his family, Bill started his painting journey by growing the company from a one-man operation to managing five crews, eventually adding guttering services to the company. Bill’s entire family, including his wife and children, have all been by his side, helping him grow the business. From sweeping floors to handling new customers, the children of the family are intimately involved in the operations of Goodpaster Painting. The Goodpaster family has shared values and dreams for the company, putting family first and subsequently carrying the company to the next generation. In doing so, they are leaving behind a Godly heritage to their children and their children’s children, glorifying God in all areas of life.

Our Family
Bill Goodpaster
Bill is the founder and CEO of Goodpaster Painting and Guttering. When Bill isn’t running the company, he enjoys working out, bible studies with his family, and spending time with his grandkids in Gatlinburg.
Bill is a veteran of the US Navy. He joined the Navy on January 14, 1986. He served on board the USS Forrestal CV-59 aircraft carrier as a Quartermaster in the navigation department. He was part of the first navigation detail to take an aircraft carrier up the Mississippi River to New Orleans. While in the Navy he was deployed to the North Atlantic Mediterranean Sea, the Indian Ocean, and the Persian Gulf. He was honorably discharged from the Navy on October 23, 1993.
Natalie Goodpaster
Natalie is Bill’s wife. She has been by his side for twenty-plus years, helping him run the business through various highs and lows. Most importantly, she shares his dream of passing the business on to the next generation! When Natalie isn’t in the office working she enjoys taking care of her family, reading, going to the gym, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Anna Goodpaster
Anna is Bill’s daughter. At a young age she started working part-time and is now working full-time helping her family grow the business. Her duties include operations, taking calls and responding to emails. When she isn’t in the office working, Anna enjoys reading, hiking and spending time with family.
Jonathan Goodpaster
Jonathan is Bill’s son. He is also Goodpaster Painting’s longest running employee. He is extremely hard working and cares about doing the job right the first time. He has experience in not only painting, but installing gutters and carpentry. When Jonathan isn’t out in the field working, he enjoys fishing on the weekends, shooting guns at the range and working out with his brothers.
Jackson Goodpaster
Jackson is Bill’s son. He started working for his dad while in high school and is the top gutter guy on his crew. He adds laughter to the team, making everyone smile. Additionally, he gets along well with the customers and handles the mechanics of the gutter machine. When Jackson isn’t working in the field, he enjoys lifting weights with his brothers and spending quality time with others.
Matthew Goodpaster
Matthew is Bill’s son. He works full-time with the painting and guttering crews. Matthew is very diligent in his work and does a great job of bringing the team together efficiently. When he isn’t out in the field, Matthew enjoys having a good time with friends and family, seeing new places, participating in jujitsu and going to the gym.
Robert R.C. Goodpaster
R.C. is Bill’s youngest son. Although he is still in school, he tries every chance he gets to spend a day at work with dad. Additionally, he has a mind full of business ideas for the future of the company. Robert enjoys wrestling, jujitsu, fishing with his brother and reading books.
